Mohi-ud-Din Islamic Medical College (MIMC) holds the distinction of being the first medical institution in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K). Established by Hazrat Allama Pir Ala-ud-din Siddiqui, the Founder Chancellor of Mohi-ud-din Islamic University, Nerian Sharif, AJ&K, MIMC is dedicated to providing top-notch medical education and training in several fields. MIMC commenced its first-year MBBS class on April 27, 2009, following approval from the PM&DC to admit 100 students annually. Our affiliation with Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University (MIU), Nerian Sharif AJ&K, a premier body chartered by the Government of AJ&K and recognized by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, strengthens our commitment to academic excellence.
The college is situated in sector D-4, New Industrial Area, Mirpur, AJ&K, encompassing a vast covered area of 3.5 million square feet. Our state-of-the-art campus is designed to offer a conducive environment for academic and professional growth. MIMC is a residential institution with separate hostels for boys and girls, capable of accommodating over 600 students. Each hostel room is tri-seated and equipped with beds, mattresses, and study tables. Additionally, there is a dedicated hostel for faculty and staff, ensuring that all members of our community have access to necessary amenities, including dining halls, cafeterias, and transportation facilities.

At the end of the MBBS program, the medical graduate should be able to: 1. Exhibit leadership skills with the ability to work as a team member in healthcare facilities. 2. Treat patients with compassion and empathy keeping high moral and ethical standards by maintaining Islamic values. 3. Exhibit his/her competency as general medical practitioner of high professional caliber with capability to diagnose and efficiently treat different diseases. 4. Communicate the nature of the disease to his patients, address their concerns and queries with humble and polite attitude.. 5. Implement evidence-based medicine and rational use of drugs in his clinical practice in order to provide best possible care to his patients. 6. Design and execute research projects and provide home grown solutions to health problems of the community. 7. Exhibit his passion as a life-long learner with zeal to acquire new skills and developments in the field of medicine. 8. Comply with the legal requirements and guidelines formulated by the authorities from time to time.
