SELECTION PROCEDURE

  Applications for admission are reviewed by the College Admission Committee and selection is made in accordance with the criteria approved by the Mohi-ud-din Islamic University, Nerian Sharif. The merit list will be finalized by the University. The authorities are not bound to explain the reason for their decision to the applicants or their parents/ guardian.
1. All Pakistani residents including AJK nominees must appear in the Entry Test, administered by the University.
2. There are only 60 seats for Pakistani residents including AJ&K nationals on open merit. 20 seats are reserved for the AJK candidates nominated by the Government of AJK and 20 seats are reserved for overseas/foreign candidates.
3. A minimum of 50% marks in the entry test will be qualifying marks. In case of failure in entry test, candidates dropped in admission list will not be confirmed on overseas seats.
4. In the final merit, wherever two candidates are bracketed, the one senior in age will receive preference.
5. Decisions of the Admission Committee are irrevocable and non-negotiable. Authorities are not bound to explain the reasons for their decisions to the applicants, their parents or guardians.
6. A Medical Board, constituted by the University, will examine the selected candidates. The candidates should possess adequate mental and physical health to be able to obtain medical education and be able to practice at least as a General Duty Medical Officer/ General Practitioner prescribed by the PM&DC. A candidate suffering from a communicable or any other disease likely to affect his working or his fellows may be dropped.
7. The admission letter to a foreign candidate will be issued provisionally and will only be confirmed after getting No Objection Certificate from the ministry of education, Government of Pakistan, and the candidate has a valid student / study visa. As per the Government of Pakistan rules, the Tourist or Visit Visas do not entitle a foreign national to seek admission in any educational institution in Pakistan.
